Hi, I’m Jess, owner of The Hair Mansion. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that you have decided to stop by. As you’re well aware the world changed in the blink of an eye. The pandemic (and other issues) have forever changed our lives.
For me, it has seeped into the very fiber of my being and I will never be the same. As a business owner I have a great responsibility to you and our community. I have kept myself knowledgeable both in research and experience. Much like what I do on a daily basis only I’d never experienced something like this. I took everything to the next level and if you were a guest of The Hair Mansion you knew you were safe to enjoy your experience regardless of any limitations.
Over the last few years the situation was fluid, I used this page to keep you apprised of all changes and protocols. Now that we have fully settled into our new normal I still wanted something here so you can see that I’m still diligent and your comfort and safety are always a priority.
You can read on to see what to expect when you visit The Hair Mansion. Although some protocols are no longer necessary I have decided some are beneficial and are here to stay.
Although Government regulations allow full capacity, I will still be taking one guest at a time. The time you have set aside is yours with no interruptions. If you would like to bring a guest, it is your appointment and you are free to do so.
I do offer a one process retouch only appointment. This is when a guest colors their hair and leaves wet. This is the only time there may be two guests in the salon. If you would like to avoid this scenario please send me an email and I will be happy to make sure you have a time slot all to yourself.
Please enjoy your time away from it all with a deliciously smooth nespresso, sparkling water or a snack provided for your relaxing pleasure.
If you are sick or not feeling well in the slightest please, do not come to the salon. We are all at risk and we are creating a clean and sterile environment for our guests.
I have a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within the 48 hours before your scheduled appointment there will be a $25 rebooking fee. If you're sick, I will be happy to waive the rebooking fee.
You will receive a sanitized clutch with your clean smock and cape. There will be one for every guest.
There is an AIRCARE air purifier running at all times
All tools and contact surfaces will continue to be sanitized between each guest. We are licensed with in-depth training in sanitation, disinfection and infection control to help protect you. This was in place long before covid-19.
A fresh clean mask will be provided for those in need. Wearing masks is a choice and I respect whatever you choose.
A disposable towel will be provided for each guest requiring a shampoo.
I supply a home soap UV sterilizer for your phone, keys, wallet and anything else you may want to be sterilized. It takes only 10 minutes to sanitize your belongings.
Please bring whatever you would like to your appointment, food and drink are allowed. If you would like to use your time as a working appointment, feel free. A working station is available for your convenience.
Magazines are no longer a staple at The Hair Mansion, however there is an iPad stock full of magazines for your reading pleasure.
Your time is valuable and we can all have those spaces where we need time to ourselves. It’s tough out there, while you’re at The Hair Mansion you can leave it at the door and request a silent appointment. We will have our consultation and I will ask pertinent questions. The rest of your time will be quiet, no judgment just pure unadulterated silence ahhhhh…
A touchless checkout is provided with a few options. To store your credit card simply go to online booking and enter your credit card information in your My Account settings, enabling a quick cardless checkout. You may also pay with a credit card of your choice in person without storing it. No signatures will be required. Apple pay, Google pay, all major credit cards, check and cash accepted.
